		>>>>The College of Chemistry was founded in 2001 on the basis of the Chemistry Department which was established and began to enroll stdents in 1978.The college consists of the Chemistry Department,the Applied Chemistry Department,the Department of Polymer Material & Engineering,the Analysis-Measurement and Text Center,the Poly- mer Chemistry & Physics Research Institute,the fine Organic Chemicals Research Ins- titute,the Applied Chemitry Research Institute,the Industrial Electeochemistry Re_ search Institue and the Industrial Analysis Research Institue.At present,it has a teaching and administrative staff of more than 70,including 18 professors and 23 associate professors and professionals of corresponding titles,among whom 9 are doctor or post-doctors,there are 4 Ph.D. supervisors,2 sepcialist-professors enj_ oying the special subsidy from the Government,1 professor being cultivated as a backbone young teacher by the State Education Ministry,and 1 professor being a member of the Teaching Guidance Commission of the Chemistry and Chemical Engineer_ ing Category of the State Education Ministry. >>>The College of Chemistry has set up the post-doctor research station of Chemistr_ y,and offers one Ph.D.progra in Polymer Chemistry and Physics,and five MSc.programs in Analyical Chemistry,Organic Chemistry,Physical Chemistry,Polymer Chemistry-Physi- cs,and Applied Chemistry.Now there are 77 MSc.students and 17 doctoral students stu_ ing.There are 2 post-doctors working in the Post-Doctoral Research Station. >>>The College has five undergraduate specialties of Chemistry,Applied Chemistry,P_ olymer Material and Engineering,Material Chemistry and Pharmacology.The laboratorie_ s cover more than 10000 m2 ,the eight labs being those of inorganic chemistry,analy_ tical chemistry,physical chemistry,organic chemistry,polymer chemistry,applied chemistry,measurement and test center,and undergraduate computer room.They are equi_ pped with advanced instruments and facilities,such as nuclear magnetic resonance,at_ omic absorption,infrared,gas-liuquid phase chromatography,emission spectrum,ICP,differential analysis,DSC,chrmatogram/mass spectrum joint utilizing,el_ analysis and ion chromatography.
