| >>>The subject of Polymer Chemistry and Physics at Xiangtan University has been a key academic discipline in Hunan Province since 1986, which now has the programs for Ph.D. and MSc. Students. There are 15 faculty members, including 15 professors and 20 associate professors, among whom are 5 young scientists with Ph.D. degree, working in the subject, 45 Ph.D. and MSc. Students are now studying in the subject and 46 graduates have received their MSc. degree. The research group focuses on ¡°liquid crystalline polymer¡±, ¡°functional polymer¡±, ¡°polymer elastomer¡±, and ¡°synthesis and application of polymer¡±, 10 Research projects including the national key sci-tech project during the eighth five-year plan supported by the state and provincial education committee had been completed. 5 Scientific research achievements had been awarded by Hunan Province and the State Education Ministry. In addition, 1 monograph and 300 research papers have been published, of which over 50 have been cited by SCI or EI. | ||
