		Organic Chemistry >>>The Subject of Organic Chemistry, one of the key academic disciplines in Hunan has gone into operation since 1978. The enrollment of MSc. students was initiated in 1979. >>>There are 3 professors, 7 associate professors and 3 concurrent members (2 professors and 1 academician from the Academy of Sciences of China) in the group of org. chem. >>>Through research work of many years, the members in the program have made significant and characteristic achievements in a variety of scientific high-tech fields, such as organic electroluminescent substances, organic electrorheological material, asymmetric synthesis, organic liquid crystals and fine chemicals. >>>On average, more than 40 research papers of importance are published annually. 6 research projects funded by the National Committee of Natural Sciences and 18 research programs supported by the relevant ministeies of the state or the province have been accomplished successfully and fruitfully. 6 scientific research achievements have been appraised by relevant ministries of the state or the provincial government. 28 applied technology achievement have been adopted by enterprises. Many honorary prizes such as prize for the Advance of Science and Technology awarded by Hunan province, prize for the Advance of Science and Technology issued by the Educational Committee of Hunan, have been won by the energetic faculty members working on the program in Organic Chemistry.
